Required for use with shut-in systems on plunger pumps, the regulator valve maintains constant system pressure when operating one or more shut-in guns from a single pump. When a gun is disengaged, the regulator "senses" the reduction in flow downstream and shifts open just enough to divert water to a low pressure for other operators without over-pressurizing the system.
