Jetstream of Houston, LLP, is announcing the launch of their model 5200Q water blast pump series, the next generation of Jetstream pump design. The model 5200Q is capable of up to 700 horsepower (522 kW) and flow rates of up to 25.6 gpm at 40,000 psi, the highest in their repertoire.
One of the key advantages of the new 5200Q bareshaft pump is the quintuplex design for reduced pulsation and vibration. With five plungers, pressure spikes are lower, allowing for a more consistent, smoother pressure profile compared to a standard three plunger design.
The 5200Q series shares the advantages of the previous 5200 series, with interchangeable UNx™ fluid end technology designed to easily convert operation pressures ranging from 6,800 psi to 40,000 psi in minutes. It also features pump part commonality with its predecessor.
Its simple design is easily serviceable with fewer overall parts than the competition, meaning easy access to internal components and no special tools required. It boasts internal gear reduction, a crankshaft supported by four bearings, and a fully integrated precision gear drive with a shared oil sump.
The 5200Q bareshaft pump also features a pressurized and filtered oiling system with active cooling and a high-temperature and low-pressure shutdown system. The locking rod box is expertly designed for ultimate safety, protection, and ease of service.
